Winter

Happy New Year! It's been so cold out! I had more than my fair share of hot chocolate this season. I created these prints to give out as gifts for family and friends. Sorry for the bad camera-phone quality. I wish Santa brought me a scanner ;)

Also, I recently set up a new website! I'm still sorting it out but feel free to check it out:

This is my friend's Boston Terrier.

He's pretty cool!

Coworkers

Liking who you work with makes a big difference.

I like these people :)

So today is the fourth day I've been home from work after the hurricane. I am so grateful that my Brooklyn neighborhood is mostly unharmed. Since I'm stuck at home, I've been trying to figure out what to do with so much free time.

So far, I've spent half of each morning thinking in bed.

I haven't gone running.

Anyways, I heard the park is still closed.. I think.

Instead I've eaten a lot.

And I've had like 6 glasses of wine.

And I've probably gained 5 pounds.

I've also been obsessively checking my emails to find out if I have to go to work tomorrow.

Sometimes I hope I do have to go in.

Sometimes I hope I don't.

To cure restlessness, I walk around my neighborhood for like 2 hours everyday. I usually end up buying more food.

But really, it's been such a pleasure to have some time to myself to draw, read, write letters to friends, and reflect on how lucky my situation is here in Park Slope.

I plan on going running tomorrow.

Owl Always Be There

Owls are everywhere! They're adorable, so I don't mind :)

I wanted to ask you..

I've been in New York for nine months now. Time flies! Recently I've been thinking about all the people I see around the city but will never get to talk to. Every now and then someone will start talking to me on the subway or in a cafe, but I'm not quite brave enough to do the same! I see so many interesting people in this city and wish I could ask them questions :) I think I'll make this into a little series!
